List of Sugar Glider Safe Fruits and Vegitibles

In the wild, sugar gliders are opportunistic omnivores. Their natural diet includes a mix of vegetables, tree sap nectar, insects, and occasional fruits. As a sugar glider owner, it’s your responsibility to make sure your glider gets a balanced diet that mirrors these natural habits as closely as possible.

A good rule of thumb is to rotate the fruits and vegetables you offer with each batch of food. This variety ensures your glider receives a wide range of essential vitamins and minerals for optimal health.

One important thing to watch out for is the phosphorus-to-calcium ratio in their diet. Too much phosphorus can block calcium absorption, leading to serious problems like intestinal issues, bone weakness, and calcium deficiency. Low calcium levels can cause your sugar glider to develop partial or even total paralysis — and sadly, it can even lead to early death if not corrected.

Feeding a balanced, carefully planned diet is one of the most important things you can do to keep your sugar glider happy, active, and healthy for years to come

Below we have provided a list of safe fruits and vegetables for our LGRS Suggie Soup, but it could be used for other glider related purposes as well.
